i watched the anime from episode 1-34 in dub and 35-37 in sub and i hate that L dies. i was a but happy that Light died though. after watching a few directors cuts and extra features along with all 52 rules i found that light becomes nothingness in stead of the goggled shinigami that some ppl are talking about. i wasnt going to watch the movie but now i wanna c all 3!

The last picture is from the 2nd movie and is actually the Shinigami (Death God) known as Jealous.

Unfortunately, he only appears for this brief moment, he turns to dust after breaking one Death Note rules, namely using it to save Misa from an attacker. In his final act of love for Misa he gives her his notebook.

I stumbleupon’d this review and it was enough to get me to watch the movie. Thanks, I’ve greatly enjoyed the first movie, will watch the sequel when I get my hands on it.

BTW, what is the second picture in your review of? The rusted robot with teh missing eye?
