When Rambo says no, he means it… unless a pretty girl says pwease. And so, against his better judgment, Rambo swallows his arthritis pills and ferries a group of Christian missionaries into war-torn Burma.

What follows is an extremely vicious massacre by the Burmese military. Unlike previous movies in the series the deaths are incredibly graphic, limbs are hacked & blown off (no cutaways) and even children are fair game. In one particularly disturbing scene a soldier pins a child to the ground with his boot and slowly stabs the boy in the gut with his bayonet.

After the missionaries fail to return, Rambo is hired to take a group mercenaries to their last known location. But when the mercs begin to chicken out, Rambo must take the lead! There are no big surprises in how the rest of movie plays out (i.e. lots more killing) . It’s certainly not the best of the series, but it does provide a definitive ending to John Rambo’s journey and for that alone you gotta see it.
