I installed XP SP3 from automatic update and got BSOD with no safe mode or last known good successes. I've been using another one of my computers to reasearch this and try things for way too long now. I read about the fix for AMD CPUs written by the technet guy but even on BSOD it does not give me a file name it only gives me this error 0x000000A5 (0x00000002, 0x8A598928, 0xE1011A70, 0x8A598BB8)
Doesnt come up an any search engines I've tried. Well the 0x000000A5 does but not the rest.

So from what I gather the most likely candidates for the problem are my EVGA iNvidia GeForce 7800 GTX running SLI mode, the fact that MS installed Intelppm.sys on my AMD computer, or the Regestry is misconfigured.

The only way I'm able to make any changes at all is to boot up to Recovery Consol with my Windows swasticaP disk and use the command prompt. I tried the recommended work around of renaming Intelppm.sys to Intelppm.sys.old sucessfully. It did not work and the Stop is still: 0x000000A5 (0x00000002, 0x8A598928, 0xE1011A70, 0x8A598BB8)

I've tried using the commands you wrote above but I just get the invalid peramaters message.

Please Help,
Thanks
