Black Tide – Real-Life Blob

Floating in the Chukchi Sea off Alaska’s northern coast is a mysterious oily substance of monstrous proportions (13 miles by 1/4 mile) that is consuming all marine life in its path.

Analysis reveals that despite its appearance it’s not an oil spill but an unknown type of algae. However anyone who’s ever seen Creepshow 2 knows exactly what this thing is – The Blob!
