Did you know:
There’s never been a better time to be a geek.
At least when it comes to TV, movies, games, anime, & comics (basically everything that matters to geeks). Don’t believe me? Just take a look at the TV guide or imdb… WAIT WHERE ARE YOU GOING!?
No need to leave L7 World (like ever), like a true geek I’ve done your homework for you, and here’s what you should watch out for (rumors/spoilers/speculation/stuff I just plain made up):
- Monday: Terminator (Cameron <3 John: watch out for viruses!) & Heroes (“when Claire bear attacks!”)
- Tuesday: Fringe (just who/where is William Bell? my guess he’s no longer completely human, possibly cyborg or ghost or worse)
- Wednesday: Knight Rider (possibly KARR as a Hummer?)
- Thursday: Smallville (Doomsday ’nuff said) & Supernatural (Dean & Sam take on Dracula, the Wolf man, and the Mummy in Black & White Halloween special)
- Friday: Sanctuary (Corporate Vampire!), Stargate: Atlantis (the Wraith get lucky in Vegas?), & Battlestar Galactica (the last of the final five is Adama or Starbuck’s viper or Roslin or… oh I give up)
- Saturday: Primeval (the Predator… no not that one) see Primeval – Review
- Sunday: Simpsons (Maggie gets a voice & Bart gets with Anne Hathaway), Family Guy (Mort time travels to Nazi Germany, oy vey!), & American Dad (Roger’s sweet 1,600th birthday)
Plus new:
- Torchwood (Captain Jack makes out with someone or something)
- Sarah Jane Adventures (K9 returns?)
- Doctor Who (Xmas special is titled “The Next Doctor” that’s right there’s gonna be a new Doctor! Or at least someone who claims to be the Doctor. Oh and the Tardis will die, see The Eleventh Doctor Who)
Geek movies are on the way too:
- Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Soundwave with Ravage and Laserbeak)
- The Wolf Man (ahooooo…)
- Watchmen (there’s no air on Mars smart guy :inside joke:)
- Star Trek (bald Romulans!?)
- The Day the Earth Stood Still (Keanu Reeves is in it and doesn’t play the robot!?)
- G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra (a real international hero!?)
- The Spirit (Sin City meets Dick Tracy)
Geek games:
- Mobile Ops: The One Year War (most realistic Gundam game ever?)
- Golden Axe: Beast Rider (uh 2 words: BEAST RIDING!)
- Gears of War 2 (Gears of War + character depth = WIN)
- Bionic Commando (suck it Spider-Man)
- Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (most wanted finisher: Wonder Woman Friendship)
- DC Universe Online (Geoff Johns + Jim Lee = WIN. Subscription fee to be generic hero = FAIL)
- Ghostbusters: The Video Game (Rick Moranis & Sigourney Weaver have stated they won’t be reprising their roles, like we care. Besides Slimer and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man are playable!)
And let’s not forget anime:
- Mobile Suit Gundam 00 season 2 (Lockon returns! Good now Haro can finally shut up.)
- Resident Evil: Degeneration (combines the 2 scariest things: zombies & airports)
- Rosario + Vampire Capu2 (more monster babes)
- Bleach: Fade to Black – I Call Your Name (it’s deja vu all over again, after a case of amnesia the Soul Society is after Ichigo & Rukia again)
Last but not least comics:
- Marvel Apes (The Marvel Universe goes bananas. An alternate world populated by monkeys… oh and some of them are vampires. That’s right SUPER MONKEY VAMPIRES!!!)
- Black Lantern Corps (Zombie Lanterns! possible recruits: Martian Manhunter, Jade, Superboy (Connor), Flash (Bart Alllen), Black Flash, Captain Boomerang, Solomon Grundy, Maxwell Lord, Brain & Monsieur Mallah) see Zomg! The DC Universe Gets Zombified for more details and guesses, some which have already been spoiled by random resurrections/retcon.
That’s just some what’s coming out in the next year…
THY GEEKDOM COME
good point, we are levitating toward the light hopefully
