Keeping track of the weather can seem like a full-time job but Subaru’s new marketing campaign suggests “It doesn’t matter what the weatherman says if you have a symmetrical all-wheel drive Subaru.” The commercials feature bloopers of weatherman Pete Mertz standing in front of the wrong map, wearing green in front of a green screen, and just generally being a doofus. The funniest one is when an inquisitive anchor plays “Weather Tennis” with Pete, who believes the forecast is self-explanatory and throws it back to the anchor. If only more weathermen were like Pete and didn’t drag out the forecast, it really wouldn’t matter what the weatherman says.
