If little Ralphie lived in Arizona, A Christmas Story might have had a very different ending. At the Scottsdale Gun Club kids can get their picture taken with Santa and his little friends: AK-47, AR-15 with an attached grenade launcher, M60, M249, M240, and an $80,000 Garwood mini-gun mounted on a tripod.
Ron Kennedy, general manager of the Scottsdale Gun Club, says the event isn’t aimed at children but the club supports parents’ right to include their kids in photos. “Our customers have been looking for a fun and safe way to express their holiday spirit and passion for firearms,” said Kennedy.
Glamorizing guns in the backyard of the Tuscon Shooting might seem like a bad idea but remember: guns don’t kill people, they kill naughty people.
