Los Angeles Lakers forward Metta World Peace (AKA Ron Artest) is facing his 13th suspension. This time for violently elbowing Oklahoma City Thunder guard James Harden in the head and knocking him to the floor.
The basketball player has gone out his way to clean up his bad boy image by volunteering, donating to charity, and changing his name to “World Peace.” He is attempting explain away the incident as just some extremely gesticular celebration.
“I just watched the replay again….. Oooo.. My celebration of the dunk really was too much… Didn’t even see James ….. Omg… Looks bad,” he tweeted.
In other words, much like in The Simpsons episode “Lisa on Ice” if you get hit, it’s your own fault!
