In last week’s episode of Community “Virtual Systems Analysis,” Inspector Spacetime gets a new companion. Annie sets up Troy with Britta and fills in as temporary constable Geneva but simulation quickly ends, and not just because of Annie’s ridiculously stereotypical English accent.

Abed tells Annie that he’s mad at her for tampering with the fabric of the group. He explains that he’s run all the scenarios through the Dreamatorium engine, which consists of a cardboard box for his thoughts and another for his friends. Annie decides to teach him a lesson in empathy by switching the boxes so that he puts the thoughts of others first. Of course, Abed takes this literally and pretends to be every member in the group. It ends with a parody of a parody, in which Abed narrates his life in the same manner as the intro to the Inspector Spacetime show.
