Dick Figures: The Movie puts the figures in stick figures. The popular YouTube series is usually free but the show’s creators have raised a record-breaking $313,411 on the crowd funding website Kickstarter, making it third highest funded film & animation project and the highest funded animation project.
The movie will be around 45 minutes long, which works out to about $7,000 per minute of animation. The creators say 10% of the cost is a Kickstarter kickback and another chunk goes to the rewards for those who pledged but most goes to production.
