Lena Dunham, creator of the HBO series Girls, stars in a new political ad that compares your first time voting to losing your virginity.
“Your first time shouldn’t be with just anybody,” says Dunham. “You want to do it with a great guy.”
Dunham goes on to espouse the democratic platform before revealing her first time was with Barack Obama, which is strange since she turned 18 during the 2004 election. Slate has learned that this spokesperson for voting didn’t bother to register to vote until 2008. Apparently, she was saving herself Obama.
