Old Navy has just released the penultimate TV spot in a series of five Christmas-themed commercials featuring the Griswold family from National Lampoon’s Vacation.
Ellen Griswold (Beverly D’Angelo) opens the front door and sees her white trash cousins, or at least their RV.
“Something for everyone on your list,” says the announcer. “And everyone who isn’t.”
It’s unlikely we’ll ever see Cousin Eddie (Randy Quaid) in the flesh. The actor is currently on the run from real and imagined threats. Quaid and his wife skipped out on bail for squatting. They sought refuge in Canada where he claimed they feared “Hollywood star whackers.”
