The mystery is solved. We finally know the location of Springfield: Florida. Visitors to Universal Studios Orlando can experience a real-life Springfield, at least the business district. The latest expansion of the Simpsons theme park attraction includes all the town’s local eateries: Kwik-E-Mart, Lard Lad Donuts, Krusty Burger, Cletus’ Chicken Shack, Bumblebee Man’s Taco Truck, The Android’s Dungeon and Baseball Card Shop, The Frying Dutchman, Luigi’s, Duff Brewery and Moe’s. Each establishment is fully stocked with iconic items like the legendary Flaming Moe. The drink’s secret ingredient (i.e.; the only ingredient) is orange soda; and the smoke is created by dry ice in the bottom of the plastic cup, which you can keep as a souvenir.
You’ll probably want to hold off on stuffing your face until after you check out the newest Simpsons ride: Kang and Kodos’ Twirl n Hurl, which spins around as riders move UFOs up and down to hit targets.
A one-day pass cost $92 and that’s not including food like a Krusty burger, which cost $9.99. That’s a lot of DOH!
