Zombie Zales commercial
There’s been a sudden outbreak of zombie commercials, in no small part due to the success of The Walking Dead. In fact, there were hardly any before the series debuted on AMC in 2010. One notable exception being a Miller Lite commercial from the 80s parodying another popular zombie series, Night of the Living Dead.

Most businesses use generic zombies to avoid licensing fees; however, there are some exceptions like Zales, Hyundai, Microsoft, Bing and Time Warner Cable, which even features cast member Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon.

If zombies are the new vampires, then perhaps commercials are their Twilight.
