South Park: The Stick of Truth is a game within a game. The children of South Park are engaged in a live action role-playing game (LARP) that encompasses the entire town, which has been fully fleshed for the first time. As the new kid in town, Cartman dubs you Sir Douchebag but you can earn less ignominious titles by completing quests.
A new gameplay trailer shows Cartman leading your party to the Inn of the Giggling Donkey, where the Bard is hiding out according to Twitter the “carrier raven.”
Jimmy, a “handi-capable” boy who stutters like Porky Pig, is hilariously miscast as the Bard.
“I am a level 10 bard and with my lute I shall power up my elven guards with my magical songs of enchan… with magical songs of enchan…” he stutters until you press the skip button. “Magical song of enchantment.”
Once Jimmy gets going, he has the voice of an angel but the mouth of a sailor.
“There once was a maiden from Stoneberry Hollow. She didn’t talk much but boy did she swallow,” the Bard sings. “I had a nice lance that she sat upon. The maiden from Stoneberry who is also your mom.”
Words hurt but they’re not your only weapon. Sticks and pizza boxes double as swords and shields. While bits from the show serve as special attacks like Roshambo. Outside of party battles your main attack is flatulence, which can used directly or to set off explosions!
