The Japanese love Godzilla, maybe a little too much. Earth Defense Widow stars gravure idol (glamour model) Mitsu Dan as an ace pilot who develops feelings for the monster that killed her husband. She experiences orgasms whenever she encounters it.
Dan has starred in erotic movies such as Be my Slave and Sweet Whip but don’t get too excited. She’s moving away from those roles. The movie poster tagline reads “From SM (SadoMasochism) to SF (Science Fiction).” Director Minoru Kawasaki is known for quirky comedies including another kaiju film: Monster X Strikes Back: Attack the G8 Summit, which heavily parodied foreign dignitaries like President Bush. Kawasaki goes after President Obama this time around.
There will still be plenty of risque scenes like an erotic dance that leaves the monster jumping for joy. And judging from the Ultraman knockoff, it’s a good bet we’ll see some giant woman on giant monster action! Just in case their were any doubts, the trailer ends with Dan’s doctor diagnosing her as a “hentai” (pervert).
Earth Defense Widow premieres in Japan February 8, 2014.
