The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) are giving bad reviews to “Snake in Cab.” It’s not latest movie by Samuel L. Jackson but a prank by former New York cabbie Jimmy Failla. His passengers unwittingly shared a cab with a Burmese python that slithered into the back seat.
“Nice thing about drubbing a cab in NYC is that you never know who’s gonna get in,” Failla tweeted with an image of himself holding the snake.
PETA accused Failla of perpetuating the myth that snakes are frightening and suggested he use a rubber snake instead of traumatizing an animal with acute hearing to screaming people.
The Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) is looking at revoking his license for harassing passengers but Failla says bring it on.
“I don’t care,” he told the NY Post. “It’s the worst job in the world.”
The self-described “D-list standup comic” says the stunt was promotion for his satirical memoirs Follow That Car!
