The Guardians of the Galaxy movie is still light years away but the action figures are already available for pre-order.
The Marvel Legends wave 1 case includes 8 individually packaged 6-inch figures and a Build-A-Figure (BAF): Groot, the humanoid tree with the ultimate catchphrase, “I am Groot.” Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord comes with the most accessories: an extra head, headset, dual blasters and the orb that he and Thanos battle over in the movie. There’s a duplicate Star-Lord figure so now you can afford to share orbs. Crisis averted! There’s also a duplicate figure of Iron Man (cosmic armor), who may or may not make a cameo along with Nova also included. Unfortunately, Gamora is a little too movie-accurate but you’re not buying this case for T&A. You want wood!
Groot stands head and shoulders above the rest, or as he’d put it “I am Groot.” The 9″ tall toy is the most substantive of the bunch and not just because he towers above his mates. All nooks and crannies are painted to give this action figure the depth and feel of a statue.
