Jimmy Fallon did the first of what’s sure to be many Universal Studios themed skits for the opening week of The Tonight Show in Orlando. Fallon and announcer Steve Higgisn shopped for the perfect wand at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park.
They visited a shop for an authentic Harry Potter wand, “a real Harry wand.”
The shopkeeper explained that each wand is unique and must match its wielder. He gave Higgins a powerful 16 inch wand but Fallon got a significantly shorter and crooked wand. Even that proved too much for him to handle so he received an even smaller 3 1/2 inch long wand, which was just his size.
Not to worry. Harry Potter taught us: it’s not the size of the wand, but the magic in it.
The shopkeeper reminded the men not to store their wands in their back pocket.
“What about my chamber of secrets?” Higgins asked. “My Azkaban.”
