The Tonight Show is filming in Orlando this week and celebrated with a special Universal Studios theme cold open. Host Jimmy Fallon and announcer Steve Higgins dressed up as Miami Vice characters Crockett and Tubbs respectively. They recreated the opening of the classic 80s TV show but the hair blowing in the wind was revealed to be not a speeding boat but hairdryers. Fallon and Higgins jumped offscreen into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park where they hopped a train to Universal Studios.
Fallon ran down the red carpet high-fiving characters like the Transformers, the Simpsons and SpongeBob SquarePants. All the while he grinned ear to ear. The kind of smile of a child has on Christmas morning. He was greeted by 800 applauding fans, the largest ever.
