Jimmy Kimmel assembled nearly the entire cast of Avengers: Age of Ultron but Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo had their own private team up. The host introduced them to gay fan art featuring Tony Stark and Bruce Banner dubbed lab bros and science bros. Kimmel showed them progressively more erotic art that climaxed with the shirtless men embracing each other.
“That’s just another day on set,” Chris Hemsworth joked.
Life imitated art with Ruffalo recreating a piece showing him on Iron Man’s lap. Ruffalo is literally emasculated in the movie. Scarlett Johansson revealed he was forced to wear a “man cancelling suit” whenever he Hulked out.
“The man cancelling suit is what I call my CGI leotard,” Ruffalo explained. “And I call it man cancelling because it makes you look small everywhere you wished you looked big and big everywhere you wished you looked small.”
