Donald Trump Twilight Zone dummy Willie Talky Tina
Plenty of people think Donald Trump is dummy but is he really? The President-elect bears an uncanny resemblance to the dummy and doll featured in The Twilight Zone. Hillary Clinton even accused him of being a puppet of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Dumb Luck

A ventriloquist trades places with his dummy in Twilight Zone episode “The Dummy.” The similarities with Trump go beyond the bushy eyebrows and blank stare.

“You made me real,” explains Willie the dummy. “You poured words into my head. You moved my mouth. You stuck out my tongue. You jerk, don’t you get it? You made me what I am today.”

Trump was similarly described as an empty vessel during the campaign. His supporters saw substance where there was none. Now he’s made real and we’re the dummy.

Talky Trump

Trump’s temperament is not unlike Talky Tina doll featured in “Living Doll.” He speaks like a wind-up toy with short repetitive catchphrases like “Huge,” “You’re fired” and “Believe me.” But he gets more talkative when slighted like Talky Tina.

“My name is Talky Tina… and you’d better be nice to me!” the doll threatened anyone who got in its way.

Trump also desperately wants to be liked. He praised President Putin despite evidence of Russia hacking Americans in order to influence the presidential election.

“If he says great things about me, I’m going to say great things about him,” he explained in an interview. “Now It’s a very different system and I don’t happen to like the system, but certainly in that system, he’s been a leader. Far more than our president has been a leader.”

President Obama has been his punching bag ever since he roasted the billionaire at a White House Correspondent’s Dinner in 2011. However, Trump quickly changed his tune after he won the election and was welcomed into the White House.

Unfortunately, we can’t wish Trump into the cornfield so we’d better be nice to him.
