The New York Archdiocese is reaching out to children but this time it’s all legal. They’re publishing a series of comics and coloring books that teach kids to be careful of devious looking white men – especially priests! On one page an angel tells a child, sharing a room with a priest, to leave the door open.
The coloring books, which are being distributed to schools & religious education programs, are geared to younger children but a more intense comic book spells out the abuse and even showing a teenage victim attempting suicide. Luckily a statue of Saint Michael inspires a student to tell an adult.
