Horror channel FEARnet cancelled

Horror fans will soon have one less place to quench their bloodlust. Comcast has bought out its partners Lionsgate and Sony for full control of FEARnet, “the premier cable television channel for fans of horror, thriller and suspense entertainment.”

Comcast’s first executive action? Kill it but dead things rarely stay dead. A spokesperson told Deadline that programming will be absorbed into other properties such as Chiller and SyFy channel. However, 15 of 25 employees will get the ax.
