Injustice Gods Among Us Year Two 3 (Justice League Green Lantern and the Flash vs Congress)
When Congress threatened to go on recess in midst of the looming automatic spending cuts known as sequestration, President Obama said he was powerless to stop them.

“I am not a dictator, I’m the president,” he explained. “Ultimately, if Mitch McConnell or John Boehner say we need to go to catch a plane, I can’t have Secret Service block the doorway.”

This looks a job a Superman!

The Man of Steel rules with an iron fist after the Joker murders Lois Lane and her unborn baby in Injustice: Gods Among Us. He takes an increasingly proactive approach by killing supervillains, ending wars and putting a stop to political gridlock in Injustice: Gods Among Us – Year Two #3.

The Justice League splits up but Green Lantern and the Flash side with Superman. They help him stop a government shutdown by literally locking down the Capitol until Congress works out their differences. “No one leaves,” Green Lantern tells the Speaker of House, who is presumably a republican like the real one. The so-called “boy scout” doesn’t get directly involved because he’s still mad about Wonder Woman being injured in a nuclear blast intended for him and the last time he lost his temper he killed Green Arrow. The republicans only hope is one of the few superheroes to stand up to Superman: Batman AKA Bruce Wayne, a rich white man. Coincidence?
