This September Veronica will meet her match when the new kid in town rejects all her advances. Only Jughead knows that Kevin Keller is gay, and he’s having too much fun watching Veronica embarrass herself to tell her.
“The introduction of Kevin is just about keeping the world of Archie Comics current and inclusive. Archie’s hometown of Riverdale has always been a safe world for everyone. It just makes sense to have an openly gay character in Archie comic books,” stated Archie Comics Co-CEO, Jon Goldwater.
Despite the story’s suggestive title “Isn’t it Bromantic?” Kevin won’t be finding love anytime soon. Writer & artist Dan Parent says “Traditional Riverdale characters won’t be coming out.”
