If you thought fishermen were upset about the BP oil spill, just wait until you see Aquaman’s response in Brightest Day #5.
He doesn’t stop at just this one wayward well. Aquaman decides to shut down ALL offshore drilling arguing that “This fuel has done more damage than good to the world. It’s perpetuated war, greed, and corruption.”
Ironically, some supervillains interrupt Aquaman’s transition from superhero to eco-terrorist.

The spill actually takes place off the Bermuda Triangle and Aquaman doesn’t say he’s “beyond perturbed” but he might as well, given how obvious the allusion is.
