Dragon Ball Z Movie a Comedy
The character designs for the villain Bills (ビルス) were considered laughable but that might have been intentional. The series has always had a fair amount of humor and Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is no exception.

The morning television program Mezamashi Terebi recently showed some of the funnier footage from the movie. It features the normally stoic Piccolo singing and an appearance by the Great Saiyaman, a cheesy superhero identity used by Gohan. The surest sign that the movie will be comical is the inclusion of the purely slapstick characters Emperor Pilaf, Mai and Shu, who appear to be younger and undoubtedly more troublesome.
