American Horror Story is no stranger to misogyny. In the first season, Murder House, Vivien Harmon (Connie Britton) was raped by the gimp ghost, Tate Langdon (Evan Peters). Then in Asylum, Dr. Arthur Arden (James Cromwell) attempts to rape his nymphomaniac patient, Shelley (Chloe Sevigny) and Dr. Thredson (Zachary Quinto) actually rapes his lesbian patient, Lana Winters (Sarah Paulson). Executive Producer Tim Minear said this year would be different.
“This is going to be the most friendly place for women on television this year,” Minear told Eonline. “Friendly, until we do the things we do.”
The safe space didn’t last long. Frat boys gang rape a schoolgirl in the premiere episode of American Horror Story Coven, “Bitchcraft.” Unfortunately for them, she attends a school for witches. Madison Montgomery (Emma Roberts) gets revenge by using her telekinesis to flip their bus. She kills almost all the boys, including Kyle Spencer (Evan Peters) the one boy who tried to stop them.
Fittingly, the surviving rapist gets raped! Madison’s classmate, Zoe Benson (Taissa Farmiga), sneaks into his hospital room and fucks his brains out, literally! Her magical vagina causes brain aneurysms during intercourse. You almost feel bad for the guy as blood pours out his eyes (almost).
The trailer for the next episode shows Madison and Zoe breaking into the hospital morgue to resurrect Kyle .
“We take the best boy parts and we build the perfect boyfriend,” Madison tells Zoe.
Kyle Frankenstein, or Kylenstein, will presumably be immune to Zoe’s power but he’s got his own problems. Other than rape, a constant in the series is that all of Peters’ characters have been mentally unstable. The trailer shows Kylenstein having a violent seizure. Could those other body parts have a mind of their own or worse belong to the rapists that died with him?
