Colbert revives gay character from Kids in the Hall for Olympics (Buddy Cole - Scott Thompson)

Gay propaganda is banned in Russia so Stephen Colbert is ensuring Team USA sticks to the straight and narrow. All week long The Colbert Report will feature a segment titled “From Russia With Love (But No Gay Stuff)” with comedian Scott Thompson, who reprises his role as the stereotypical homosexual Buddy Cole featured on the Kids in the Hall.

Cole sat down with openly gay U.S. Ambassador Dan Baer, who admitted that working for the government is a choice but his parents love him anyway. They discussed things to avoid wearing like rainbow colored clothes, which Cole said should be off limits for everyone.

Baer said that ideally everyone should be free to wear what they want but just in case everyone’s not so open-minded, Cole practiced some macho phrases.

“Women! Am I right? Who needs them,” he said in deep voice. “Except for their vaginas.”

Cole later met with the U.S. speed skating team and gave them some fashion advice to make them look less gay. It seemed hopeless until he gave them a manly makeover (read: utter lack of style) that included fanny packs, Dockers and Crocs AKA “gay Kryptonite.”
