Weight loss isn’t just about willpower claims an advertisement for Belviq. The commercial features three truly perplex obese people debating whether or not they’ve had enough to eat.

“Am I full? Do I want more? Have I had enough?” they ask themselves as though they’re pondering the mysteries of the universe.

A voice-over explains that the drug works by activating receptors in your brain that are “believed” to make you feel full; however, a disclaimer admits they have now idea how it works. What is known is that there are a host of potentially deadly side effects. In fact, nearly half of the commercial consists of rattling them off.

Belviq should take their own medicine because they’re full of it.
