Captain America Civil War Thor Chris Hemsworth Bruce Banner Hulk Mark Ruffalo
Captain America: Civil War inexplicably lacks the Avengers’ big guns: Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). The whereabouts of the MIA superheroes was revealed in a promo for Thor: Ragnarok at Comic-Con.

Thor insists that he was simply taking some time off from the team but Tony Stark has been ghosting him. He desperately tries to contact either Iron Man or Captain America via email with the help of his sidekick, Darryl. The God of thunder decides to start his own team: Team Thor, which consists of himself and Darryl.

Chris Hemsworth Thor crazy wall string theory Infinity Stones Loki

To infinity and beyond

Thor clearly has too much time on his hands. He shows off his very own crazy wall investigating the Infinity Stones. The reality warping will be at the heart of Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 & 2 in 2018 & 2019 respectively.

“Whole lot of information and ideas that I like to call little clues speckled around the place,” Thor explains about his intricate process.

The wall features the “purple man” AKA Thanos (Josh Brolin) wielding the Infinity Gauntlet or as Thor calls it “magic glove.” Another important clue is that he “doesn’t like standing up.” Is his secret identity San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick? It’s actually a reference to previous post credits cameos by Thanos that always show him sitting on his throne.

The biggest clue is not directly mentioned. All the strings seem to be leading to Thor’s adopted brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston). The God of Mischief has already shown an interest in the stones. He stole the Tesseract AKA Space Stone and once possessed a scepter containing the Mind Stone, which became part of Vision. Loki will appear in both Infinity War Part 1 & 2. It would seem that he’s the real big bad if Thor’s deduction skills are to be believed.

Rest assured Thor, Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo will appear in Infinity War and Thor: Ragnarok, in which Iron Man will odd man out. Let’s hope Marvel does a similar promo for the billionaire playboy partying at the end of the world.
